Analisis Yehezkiel 37:1-6 sebagai Identifikasi Kesetiaan Janji Allah di Masa Sulit

Abstract

God's faithfulness to His promises is an eternal guarantee to His people that He will act according to what He has said. God's promises are certainly not just ideas, but steadfast initiatives from God that help every believer to find hope for a more victorious future. However, it cannot be denied that God's promises always intersect with pressing problems on the human side and make people doubt God's promises. This is the same as what was experienced by the Israelites when they were in Babylonian exile, their condition collapsed exactly as the vision of the dry bones seen by the prophet Ezekiel. This study aims to analyze the text of Ezekiel 37: 1-6 to obtain identification of the faithfulness of God's promises. The method used in this research is qualitative, by applying descriptive methods through grammatical and lexical analysis. In terms of identifying God's faithfulness to His promises in Ezekiel 37: 1-6, the following understanding is obtained: God initiates the promise of restoration, God acts in the history of salvation, and God assures His promises.

Abstrak
Kesetiaan Allah terhadap janji-Nya merupakan suatu jaminan yang kekal bagi umat-Nya bahwa Ia akan bertindak sesuai dengan apa yang telah difirmankan-Nya. Janji Allah tentu bukanlah sekedar ide saja, melainkan inisiatif yang teguh dari Allah dan membantu setiap orang percaya untuk mendapatkan pengharapan bagi masa depan yang lebih berkemenangan. Namun tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa di pihak manusia, janji Allah selalu bersinggungan dengan permasalahan yang menghimpit dan membuat manusia ragu terhadap janji Allah. Hal ini sama dengan yang dialami oleh bangsa Israel ketika berada di pembuangan Babel, kondisi mereka terpuruk sama persis seperti penglihatan tulang kering yang dilihat oleh nabi Yehezkiel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa teks Yehezkiel 37:1-6 untuk diperoleh identifikasi kesetiaan janji Allah. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif melalui analisis gramatikal dan leksikal. Dalam hal identifikasi kesetiaan Allah terhadap janji-Nya dalam Yehezkiel 37:1-6, maka didapatkan pemahaman sebagai berikut: Allah memberikan inisiatif janji pemulihan, Allah bertindak dalam sejarah penyelamatan, dan Allah memberikan jaminan dalam janji-Nya.
